Your money is nobody else's business. There's nothing to sign up for, no ads, and no tracking. The app has no internet permission, so it can't send your financial data anywhere.
It can't phone home
No internet permission, no account and no server of ours. Your finances stay on your phone unless you choose to export them.
Encrypted on your phone
Your data and receipt photos are encrypted, with the key protected by Android's secure keystore.
Photos without the extras
Receipt photos are shrunk and their hidden details, like location, are removed before they're saved.

Make an encrypted backup whenever you like and keep it where you choose. Only your password opens it.

Questions
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You import statement files from your bank (CSV, OFX, QFX or PDF), add spending by hand or by voice, or scan receipts. Your bank login is never needed.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your data only exists on your phone, so make encrypted backups and keep them somewhere safe. You can restore one on a new phone with your password.
Can you see my data?
No. It never reaches us, because the app has no way to send it and we have no server to receive it.
Is it tax advice?
No. Money Cleared helps you keep records. Check with your accountant what you need to keep.
Can my partner and I use it together?
Household members and fair expense splitting are built in, on one shared phone. Syncing between phones isn't available.
Is it on iPhone?
Not at the moment. Money Cleared is for Android.
